But hey that’s considerably warmer than last year. Highland Scenic Highway is all ablaze this weekend with the buttery yellows of the beech trees already succumbing to the cold weather. Now is peak! Camping in Pocahontas County can’t be beat – no matter where I go in the Monongahela National Forest I am always amazed by the quality and quantity of campsites. The fees are usually only $8.00 per night and they are all very clean. The bears are dissuaded by the “bear-proof” trash cans. My favorite is [...] |
