About PCCVB

The Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau [PCCVB] is an independent, nonprofit corporation dedicated to marketing and promoting Pocahontas County as a destination for leisure and group travel.  The Bureau provides appropriate tourism-related services for visitors and residents and also educates the public as to the benefits of tourism and tourism-based economic activity.

Offices are located in Marlinton WV at 708 Second Avenue – just follow the footprints!

PCCVB Tourism Scholarship Awards
The CVB recognizes the need for professional tourism training and retention of bright, young talent who hopefully will choose to work and live in the county.

Pocahontas County high school and college students, who intend to pursue a career in travel and tourism, have the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship.  The award will eventually be provided to four individual students at each college undergraduate grade level.  To download information and/or an application, please click on the links below.

PCCVB Grant Program
In order to assist and enhance tourism within the county, the CVB offers financial grants to local groups and organizations for promoting events held in Pocahontas County.  Including sponsorships and partner-marketing, the Bureau provides more than $60,000 annually to the local tourism community.
