So much music going on

Winter is never a gloomy time here in the mountains. Part of that is because we have so much great music to keep us humming and toe tappin’. Take this weekend for instance. We have IVibes on Saturday Feb 4 playing at the Pretty Penny Café in Hillsboro starting at 9:00 p.m. Also on Saturday on the other end of the county at Snowshoe Mountain’s Hoot’s Bar & Grill Shawn Owen takes center stage at 8:00 p.m.

And if you’re wondering around the county and don’t know where to go, there’s always the Eager Beaver out on Rt 39 where Bo Mc$ takes stage at 8:00 p.m. This show’s free. Juanita Fireball & the Continental Drifters kick off the night at the Fiddle Head at the bottom of Snowshoe Mountain on Rt 219. Tickets for this show are $5.00.

So whether it snows, rains, or is just downright chilly…set back, enjoy the company, the beverage and food. Plus if you can’t make it out for whatever reason – tune in to WMNP – radio 88.5 FM. You’ll hear some amazing music here from old country to light R & B to some original tunes by the locals.
Music…it makes life better.
