This weekend’s cold temperatures brought the first snowfall to Pocahontas County.  Snowshoe Mountain Resort received around 1.5″ of the white stuff, and helped Mother Nature out, firing up the guns to get a jump start on the season.  Snowguns will continue to sing as long as tempatures allow ensuring the resort’s November opening is a good one (opening day is currently set for November 25th).  

From November 26 – 29, Snowshoe plans to celebrate Thanksgiving Week with its extend family… skiers, snowboarders, and other snow-loving guests.  What will Snowshoe be thankful for?  Lots of snow and lots of open terrain!  “We are going BIG during this Thanksgiving Holiday.  Along with family-friendly activities and great entertainment, Snowshoe Mountain is expanding it’s open terrain in a big way!  Snowshoe plans to have up to 20 trails and 5 lifts for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Now that is BIG!  Spend the first holiday of the winter season with your family at Snowshoe Mountain… it will be an incredible way to start the winter!”
